STD provides salary continuation for up to 26 consecutive weeks if you are unable to work due to a non-work related injury, illness or medical condition. Click here to learn more about disability benefits at Merck.
LTD provides a percentage of your income if you are unable to work due to a non-work related injury, illness or medical condition, after you have been certified as continuously and totally disabled for 26 consecutive weeks (182 days). If you sustain a work-related injury or illness, workers’ compensation provides you with medical treatment and/or wage replacement (based on state law) and a percentage of your income.
Military leave provides you with a leave of absence for military service consistent with the requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA).
